Sport
Customers in the Sport segment have reported a range of benefits from the NCS technique.
The treatment enables the athlete to:
1) Receive treatment immediately on/off the field.
2) Undergo treatment, in most acute cases, in less than three minutes.
3) Recover quickly from injury.
4) Resume training and competition fast.
5) Perform at his/her best without the handicap of pain or visible symptoms of injury.
6) Regain the competitive spirit.
7) Maintain personal and team morale.
8) Maintain higher earning capacity because of quicker treatment and recovery.
Vet/Equine
For centuries, cold has been used to treat pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with
musculo-skeletal trauma in both humans, and animals. However, for competition horses,
ice packs/baths/boots/showers/etc have distinct time and application limitations.
They simply do not provide the cold intensity necessary to optimize the benefits of cold therapy.
The benefits of the NeuroCryoStimulation technique in Vet/Equine applications include:
1) Faster recovery, enabling the horse to resume training and competition earlier.
2) Fewer treatment time and sessions.
3) Time saving. Less preparation time, therefore enabling a number of horses to be treated in less time.
4) Treatment can be applied at the stables or at the track or event.
5) Indicated for acute and chronic conditions.
6) Safe treatment with few contra-indications.
7) Low cost.
Many horse trainers know that cold therapy helps in the treatment of joints and tendons.
Ice can lower skin temperature from approximately 34°C to 15°C, after a number of minutes.
However ice cannot be continuously applied for more than 20 minutes without adverse effects.
Traditional devices for cold treatment require much preparation. In some cases it may take more
than 30 minutes to treat all the limbs of one horse. It may also be difficult to apply the device
and keep it in place on a restless horse. Given a practical option, trainers would like to be able
to routinely treat all their horses with ice. Until now the devices for applying ice to all lower
leg tendons and ligaments is not as practical as trainers would like. When 25 or more equine
athletes have to be treated it becomes a very time consuming exercise that could take many hours.
"The NCS technique enables trainers to quickly and easily achieve the cooling necessary
for the effective treatment of joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles in about
5 minutes per horse!"
